Moka Pot Cafe

Maybe I’m beginning to expect too much. Maybe I’m expecting these pancakes to presented on a bed of fairy floss, drizzling with soft, creamy melted orange chocolate, and topped with a golden leaf (but is that really too much to ask?!). I can’t seem to fault today’s pancake, found at Moka Pot Café, Greythorn, but something was amiss.
Fluffy buttermilk pancakes, topped with warm banana, maple syrup and caramelised nuts, served with a scoop of icecream - it was all as appetising as it sounds. A decent sized serving for $14.90, it seemed to have everything I would’ve asked for, but it was nothing surprising.
Would I revisit this family breakfast spot? Maybe, but probably only for the gingerbread houses they are selling for Christmas (only 28 days to go!). - C
